The ABA Content Developer role is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of behavior analytic courses used as part of three professional development streams: pre-certification (test prep) assessments and courses; just-in-time professional development assessments and micro-trainings across the behavior analytic job market; and continuing education courses provided for an online, asynchronous platform. Secondarily, they will provide support as needed in the design and development of non-behavior analytic courses often required of ABA providers by regulatory agencies (e.g., bloodborne pathogens, mandated reporter, HIPAA, etc.). Additionally, they will serve as part of an editorial peer review team, reviewing other developers’ courses for content, structure, and design.
Key Accountabilities:
Remain up-to-date on BACB pre-and post-certification requirements for credentialing and professional development.
Update existing assessments and courses based on credentialing authority changes, user feedback, editorial feedback, and updates to course creation standards.
Create new assessments and courses to be utilized across our customer base by behavior technicians, behavior analysts, and trainees, within scope of competence.
Design assessment strategies that verify learning rather than just completion (application questions, case studies, performance demonstrations)
Assist as needed in the development of requested regulatory compliance courses to meet customer needs.
Work directly with Director, Clinical Training & CR Institute and content development team to ensure coursework meets industry standards
Collaborate with other Subject Matter Experts (internal or contracted) to design and create assessments and courses for related services providers.
Review and edit new and existing courses as assigned
Work as part of the content creation team to continuously improve our educational offerings, integrate new technologies, and provide the best-in-market experience to our end users.
Requirements:
At least 5+ years as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) (current, with no disciplinary action)
Experience with Instructional Design methodologies (ADDIE, Bloom, Merrill, Gagne)
Strong writing skills
Strong communication skills
Teaching experience
Good Organizational skills and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience creating and building online coursework, faculty positions, BACB ACE provider
Credentialed to supervise, or willing to obtain credentialing to supervise
Additional related certifications (e.g., SLP, OT, Special Educator)
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Thought Industries, Blackboard, Canvas
Experience with creative tools such as Descript, Vyond, Gamma, Canva
Experience writing effective LLM prompts
